YOSAC is the YOUTH ORCHESTRA OF SOUTHERN ALAMEDA COUNTY.  It is a community-based nonprofit organization begun by parents, teachers and music professionals to augment school instrumental music programs of Southern Alameda County and the surrounding communities by providing high quality symphonic orchestral experience.

YOSAC provides multi-level development  programs for young musicians.  Based on musical ability and demonstrated growth, students are afforded the opportunity to progress through YOSAC’s several groups. Depending on the groups offered for the year, string players with 1-2 years of prior experience can progress from a beginning strings program through to an advanced symphony orchestra.  Wind, brass and percussion orchestral opportunities are also available for intermediate to advanced players.

Please visit YOSAC’s website at www.yosac.org for more information.
