Jenny’s 26th Anniversary

Jenny’s 26th Anniversary

Please join us in a virtual event to remember Jennifer Han-chi Lin for her 26th anniversary.  As Jenny’s parents, our grief and sorrow never end as we continue searching for justice through the law enforcement agencies, and working with friends and volunteers on building a safer and more caring community.

Due to Covid-19, we are not able to hold a physical ceremony for Jenny, but instead, we will hold a virtual event via Internet.  The event will be a live broadcast on the internet on Wednesday, May 27, at 7 PM.  Please watch for another message from us to direct you to the event on or about Monday, May 25.

Thank you, and hope you can join the event.

Sincerely,

John and Mei-lian Lin

Annual Jenny Lin Youth Concert

The annual Jenny Lin Youth Concert featuring young musicians across East Bay is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, at Chabot College Performing Arts Center, 25555 Hesperian Blvd in Hayward.  The doors open at 6:00 PM, and the concert starts at 6:30 PM.  The concert is admission free.

In commemorating the 25th anniversary of Jenny Lin’s passing, the Jenny Lin Foundation commissioned the renowned orchestra author, Richard Meyer, to compose a music, “From Darkness, Joyful Sounds are Born”, which will debut at the concert, to be performed by the Jenny Lin Symphonic Orchestra.  This emotional piece of music depicts the journey of a community, devastated by a tragic loss of its model teenager, through a long process of recovery, and eventually produced an incredible program that benefits thousands of youngsters throughout the East Bay.

Castro Valley Earth Day Event

There is an exciting opportunity to raise fund for the Jenny Lin Foundation. This year’s Earth Day event is on Saturday, April 13. We have been selected by the organizer, Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) as one of three charity organizations that will receive donations from CVSan on behalf of Earth Day volunteers. For every volunteer who participates in the Earth Day Clean-Up, CVSan will donate $5.00 to the charity of his/her choice. Visit www.cvsan.org for details, or click the following link to register for the event:

Please also spread the words to your family and friends. The more people sign up and designate JLF as the charity of choice, the more fund will be raised for the Foundation. Thanks a lot!
